DESPERTAR FOTOGRÁFICO: LA OROYA

A inicios de mayo del 2013 tuve la oportunidad de ir a la cuidad de La Oroya en el departamento de Junín, Perú. La Oroya es conocida, principalmente, por dos razones: poseer el complejo metalúrgico más importante del país - y quizás de Sudamérica - y por estar en la lista de Blacksmith Institute en los "Top 10" en cuanto a ciudades más contaminadas en el 2007, donde se sitúa en 6to lugar, ganándole inclusive a ciudades renombradas como Chernobyl (9°), en Ucrania, y Norilsk (8°), en Rusia. // At beginning of May 2013, I had the chance to travel to La Oroya, located in the region of Junin, Peru. La Oroya is known, mainly, for two reasons: have the most important metallurgical complex in the whole country – and perhaps of South America – and for being in the list of the Blacksmith Institute in “Top 10” of most polluted places in 2007, in which is located en 6th place, beating renowned cities, such as Chernobyl (9th), in Ukraine, and Norilsk (8th),in Russia.

Si bien estas fotos no reflejan la totalidad de la compleja realidad de esta ciudad, resulta paradójico encontrar paisajes de tal hermosura en las afueras de un lugar que supuestamente es uno de los más contaminados del mundo.// Even if these pictures doesn´t show the entire complex situation of this city, it's quite paradoxical find these kind of landscapes in one the most polluted places in the world.
